A Dawning Realisation. or, 'We're gonna need a bigger boat'

It's a shed load more than just taking a few piccies.
I'm not quite sure where to start even writing about it,
EQUIPMENT!!! (or the lack of it)
Funds for equipment (or the lack of it)
Overdraft facility (and the temptation of it)
Paypal accounts to pay for it when I've found it when I can afford it.
Post processing software, RAM upgrades for the computer to successfully run said software
Time management, I can fully understand why the post processing process is named 'workload'!
Time management, fumbling around the aforesaid workload
Time management, squeezing in some hours to be squeezing my shutter button
Efficiency, I think I will be astonished at how soon my shutter will get through the 80,000 recommended actuations, and the worry of what will happen then? Shutdown? Costly servicing?
Dirty sensor!!!!!!! How do you clean yours?

All these issues and more I'm sure I will overcome, by hook or by crook.
I am going to succeed, I honestly didn't realise the quagmire of digital photography!
for sure, no more messing about with 35mm films, expensive developing and even more expensive 1 hour developing,
But the price to be paid!!!!!
I'm still not quite sure....

"We're gonna need a bigger boat."

Allow me a moment to collect my thoughts and I'll endeavour to address these and more issues.

Initially I set up this blog to 'Show off' my new toy and the results in its sister site

http://yourphotoportfolio.blogspot.com

But now I would love it to grow into a more informative place for NEWBIE dslr owners, there is, of course, a plethora of photographic websites and online courses and forums and dating agencies to choose from.
I get confused, too much information on levels far beyond the newbie.
Let me hold your hand down this rocky road,
Because it's a bit daunting and I'm a little scared.!!!
